Pelham Saddlery is a family-owned business that was purchased in 1983 being a feed and grain store called Beaver Valley Farm, which still works as a full service feed and grain shop. Owners have owned and ridden horses for 18 years and been employed in the veterinary, medical and engineering careers.
After frustration having a very nice horse that's bucking under saddle, the founder/owner of Pelham Saddlery chose that there must be an explanation for her horse's behavior. Through research, she discovered that her horse was having saddled fit problems. She worked with the best businesses in the saddle industry to learn about saddle fit techniques. Pelham Saddlery became among the first companies to offer the 'Try before you buy' program enabling horse owners to actually test ride new saddles to make sure that both horse and rider are comfy. Fast forward from 1983, Pelham Saddlery now offers nearly 500 saddles- both new and used- give a full 7 day trial on every in stock saddle. We also have quality horse products, rider gear - attire, horse tack, and fine leather items, which are perfect for horsey and non-horsey alike. . Their customer's (both 2-legged and 4-legged) satisfaction is the foundation of a successful saddle and tack business.
As a result of the popularity of the service supplied by the tack shop, it developed out of its spot at the feed store and today lives at its present location where it better services its customers. Horses may trailer-in to be independently fit to a new saddle or may have its current saddle retrofit. Their sales personnel are experienced horse owners and highly qualified saddle technicians.
